  • Within our staff, you will find clinically trained counsellors and social workers who can work with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, or families.

    Our professional team employ a range of therapies, from classic approaches (e.g. psychodynamic, behavioural, humanistic-existential) to modern and advanced therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, EMDR, Polyvagal informed practice, mindfulness, and somatic therapies).

  • All the therapists practising within Oasis are qualified to practice clinical counselling and are governed by ethical codes of conduct. These codes determine how the therapist needs to practice:

    • Within their competency

    • Prioritise the therapeutic relationship

    • Respect the client’s values

    • Respect the client’s autonomy/self-governance.

    • With integrity & collaboration

    • Showing Non-judgement

    • Maintaining the safety & welfare of the client

    • Upholding confidentiality and its limitations.

    • Maintaining client records and personal data appropriately

  • We are both. As a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary centre, we support people with a range of issues and personal concerns. Including:

    • Mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and addictions.

    • Relationship concerns, such as marriage, parenting, and relationships.

    • Personal growth, such as identity, life vision, and discovering meaning.

    • Professional development, such as career choices and transitions.

    We also have key areas of therapeutic and professional specialization. These include:

    • Grief and support groups in this area.

    • Trauma

    • Social skill development (DBT)

    • Advanced therapy for couples and adolescents

    • Discovery of meaning and purpose in life (Logotherapy)

  • The first step is to fill out the appropriate intake form for the service you are requesting (individual, couples, child/adolescent, family). Alternatively, it is possible to request an intake session with one of our counsellors, although the counsellor you meet for this intake session may not be the counsellor who is able to see you in the future.

    Upon receiving your intake information, you will be contacted by our team after you are matched with a counsellor. Tthis process typically takes 3-5 working days.

    Early in the therapy, you and your counsellor will review the concerns that have been brought, discuss treatment approaches, and establish goals.

    Towards the end of therapy, you and your counsellor will reflect on the progress you feel has been made and discuss the resources that you have gained to face challenges in the future.

    You do have the right to end therapy at any time.

  • Yes. When you fill out the Intake form, you will be able to share with us what you are facing or hoping to address, and any preferences you have for a therapist. Although we will do our best to connect you with your chosen counsellor, this is dependent on the counsellor's availability.

  • Yes, it is possible to change therapists at Oasis.

    We believe that the therapeutic relationship is of primary importance in your counselling process. If you do not feel you ‘fit’ with your counsellor, we encourage you to contact our Intake Coordinator to be introduced to another counsellor. Please note that session rates may vary between counsellors.

  • Oasis is open Monday-Sunday for scheduled appointments. Sessions can be scheduled mornings, afternoons or evenings. However, there are some times that are more readily available than others. Let us know in the intake form what days/times are best for you, and we will do our best to meet your needs.

  • We are a fully professional counselling & psychotherapy practice, so we charge standard market-rate fees for our services. However, we do offer financial assistance on a case-by-case basis. This request can be indicated on the intake form. We ask for information about your household income and a brief description of your situation. There are a limited amount of fee-adjusted spots available.

    Each individual therapist has fee structures based on their background and experience. Some specialty treatments & advanced approaches may be charged additional or higher fees.

    Guideline for counselling fees per session:

    Intern Counsellor: $400

    Counsellor: $800-$1200+

    Senior Counsellor: $1,200-$1,800+

  • Most payments are arranged via FPS or other electronic fund transfers with the below bank account:

    Please note that official receipts can be requested and issued by The Vine Church Ltd.

    Accounts must be kept current to continue counselling at Oasis. After three unpaid invoices, sessions will be suspended.

  • Upon payment of your session, we can issue an official receipt which you are free to turn in to your insurance company for reimbursement. We recommend that you check with your insurance provider as each policy varies in coverage. Confirm with your provider that they cover sessions with counsellors and social workers.

  • Yes, all of our counsellors have a personal relationship with a Christian God and would identify themselves as followers of Christ. However, As all of the Oasis counsellors practice within professional ethics it is your value system that is of primary importance to us. Therefore, you do not need to be Christian, or spiritual/religious in any way to receive services at Oasis.

    In saying this, we are able to integrate your chosen personal spirituality into the counselling if this is your desire. Be assured that Oasis counsellors uphold the dignity, and respect of their clients.
